Rules for using the Grom app and server.
Acceptance of terms
By registering an account and using the Grom app or web client, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Community rules
- Sending spam or mass unsolicited messages is not allowed.
- Impersonating another person or organization is not allowed.
- Posting content that violates applicable law is not allowed.
- Channel and group admins are responsible for moderating their own content.
Restrictions and bans
If the rules are broken, the network's administrator may temporarily restrict (freeze) or ban an account, channel, or group. Any such decision can be appealed through the Grom SpamBot.
Verification
Official channels, bots, and public groups can apply for verification. The decision to grant a verification badge is made by the network's administrator.
Stars and monetization
Stars are Grom's in-app currency, used to pay for paid messages, channel subscriptions, gifts, and other paid features inside the app. Purchased Stars cannot be exchanged for cash outside the app's own withdrawal mechanisms. Prices for paid messages and subscriptions are set independently by the owners of channels, groups, or bots, within limits allowed by the network's administrator.
Earnings from Stars for channel owners, bot owners, and affiliate-program participants accrue to an internal balance and can be withdrawn according to rules set by the administrator of that particular Grom network.
Bots and mini apps
Bots and mini apps on Grom are, in most cases, products built by independent third-party developers and are not controlled by the network's administration unless explicitly stated otherwise. By using a bot or mini app, you agree to share with it the data it needs to function (see the "Bots" section of the Privacy Policy). The network's administrator reserves the right to restrict or remove a bot that violates the community rules.
Affiliate program
Channels and bots can take part in the affiliate program, earning Stars for bringing in new users or subscribers through a referral link. The terms for earning and withdrawing this reward are set by the network's administrator and may change, with participants notified in advance.
Liability
Grom is provided "as is." The administrator of a given Grom network is responsible for content moderation and handling user requests within that specific network.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change over time. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
